More POPAI success for Adare International!
Congratulations to the Adare International team in Brazil who has added to our growing suite of 2017 POPAI wins by securing a Silver POPAI award in the Alcoholic Beverages category.
The team was asked by Diageo to develop a POS display (ready to sell) for the Ypioca drinks brand, which could be delivered to customers while carrying the bottled products to north eastern areas of Brazil, without damaging either the display or the fragile merchandise inside.
Working closely with supplier Micropack, the team created a product that was lightweight, easy to construct and was able to survive the challenging delivery conditions.
The project has also won Gold at the ABRE Brazilian Packaging Awards 2017 and has been shortlisted for the prestigious WPO2017 (World Packaging Organization) in November.
George Homsi, Adare International’s Operations Director, LATAM commented, “We are absolutely delighted with this award. This project is a great example of our successful relationship with Diageo and the reason that Adare continues to grow in the FMCG sector here in Latin America.”
Congratulations also go to Adare International’s Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) team in the UK who recently won a silver POPAI award in the Innovation category.
The CCEP team was tasked to design a single movement pallet wrap application which could be added on the bottling line in one movement. The winning product is cost effective, easy to implement and has eliminated the need for a co-packer (all packing now online in bottling factory).
The POPAI judges said that this was “no ordinary pallet display and a first-to-market solution. It offers the brand a volume P-O-P solution that reduced both cost throughout the supply chain and the materials used.”
