Following Adare’s strategic partnership with Novartis to drive print management cost savings, Novartis tasked the Purple Agency with increasing efficiencies by way of a joined up approach from agency brief to print delivery. The client needed to centralise all production files, improve the artworking adaptation services available to the Novartis marketing team, and control creative agency spend across the business.
Purple developed a two-tier cost model for the procurement lead at Novartis, split across artworking and creative to offer competitive and transparent rates. A single bespoke briefing document was shared with all marketing teams to ensure a consistent and streamlined briefing process. All available production assets were collated by the Purple team and stored centrally to facilitate quick, cost effective turnaround for future brand adaptation projects.
Positive feedback from a business-wide survey, 6 months after launch, meant the Purple service was continued as a permanent solution. Over 170 projects were successfully completed in the first year. Turnaround times were reduced to an average of 3 days from quote approval to first draft, and drafts were reduced to an average of one round of amends to project completion.
