Committing to our environment through ISO audits

As a business we’re passionate about delivering products and services that support the environments we do business in that specifically combat the global challenges we all face. By doing this we support our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) operating best practice as a brand which reassures both our clients and suppliers that they are working with a responsible, ethical and trusted marketing communications partner.

In order to achieve this, a key measure we utilise is ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation). They are an independent, non-governmental, international organisation that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems. Through its members, it brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant international standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.

We’re pleased to say that once again we’ve passed our ISO 9001 (quality assurance) and ISO 14001 (environment) audits for the next three years with great praise from our auditors, Approachable.

What do the two accreditations mean?

ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements and provide customer confidence. Its framework sets out to ensure high standards are maintained and that measures are in place to reduce the chance of product faults, recalls, or services falling short of expectations.

ISO 14001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for an effective environmental management system (EMS). It provides a framework that an organisation can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements. This specific standard sets out a framework to ensure businesses support environmental protection, pollution prevention, waste minimisation, as well as reducing the energy and materials a business consumes.

Last year we also achieved an ISO 45001, which demonstrates our support for health and safety.

Pete Thornton, Logistics Director based in the UK, said: “Achieving these accreditations to the international standard from Approachable confirms that as a business we are passionate about delivering products and services that support best practice from an ESG perspective. By doing this it helps us to show our clients and suppliers that we are a responsible partner to work with.”
