We operate a stringent pre-qualification process to ensure all suppliers meet and adhere to Adare’s requirements, and our EcoVadis GOLD association puts us in the top 5% of companies of our type for CSR.
All factories are audited for adherence to social compliance requirements through Adare’s supply partners, using SA8000 qualified auditors. Orders over a $60k threshold require factories to be audited by third party independent auditors (e.g. BV, ITS).
All audits follow a Green / Amber / Red rating system.
The supply chain must support principles of FFC (Fair Factories Clearing House), BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), Sedex, ICTI (International Council of Toys Industry) and Global Compact.
Ongoing social compliance partnerships are in place with Coca-Cola, Heineken and MSD, in which we are working to ensure cost-effective, high-quality product is sourced from a fully compliant supply chain.
We have over 1,500 international supply partners, many in sensitive markets, and we recognise our important social obligation to engage with these communities in an ethical and fully compliant way. By supporting local enterprise through our regional supply chain, we help local communities to prosper and create opportunities for people to develop a positive future for themselves and their families.
We are very proud of our membership of the United Nations Global Compact initiative. This is a UN strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. This alliance helps global businesses work to ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere. We are part of a growing group of companies who provide vital support to the Global Compact and their work to drive the global corporate sustainability movement forward.
We are committed to working with partners that recognise the importance of strong quality, environmental and ethical practices in the workplace.
We have a responsibility to protect our environment and support the local communities within which we operate.
At Adare International, we not only look at our legal requirements but concentrate our efforts simultaneously on economic, social and environmental benefits to both the communities within which we work and our business as a whole.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility policy outlines and enables responsible behaviour across our business. We encourage an inclusive environment of innovation, continued development and the application of best practice in all that we do.
We encourage business practices that help to ensure that we continue to build a successful and profitable company with a long-term business plan, as well as being good for our wider community. By monitoring this success in all areas we ensure we are achieving our sustainable development goals.
